I am now not yours, no longer misplaced in you,
Not lost, though I lengthy to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the sea.
You love me, and I locate you still
A spirit lovely and bright,
Yet I am I, who lengthy to be
Lost as a mild is misplaced in light.
Oh plunge me deep in love—put out
My senses, go away me deaf and blind,
Swept via the tempest of your love,
A taper in a speeding wind.
